Continued Sales for your product launch
Even after your launch,
you want to keep the momentum going. The product launch, in truth, is just the
beginning for sales of this new product. You want to establish the product in
your funnel with the launch. Then you want to keep promoting the product
throughout the lifetime of the product.
· Offer Amazing Product Support – The better your post-purchase support, and the more you wow your customers the more
they’re going to feel safe to buy from you again. Make it your mission to offer
amazing personalized customer service options for all your customers. It’ll be
worth it.
·
Re-Open the Launch – You should limit this greatly because you
don’t want anyone to say you’re a liar. If you have some abandoned carts, those
people already decided that they wanted the product. However, for some reason, they have changed their mind at the
last minute. If you set it up in advance with special pixels from Facebook or
Google, you can run retargeting ads directed to the abandoned cart shoppers.
· Design Compelling Post Purchase Email Series – Once someone purchased an item they don’t want
promotions on the same item. Therefore, design very segmented email lists that
feel personal to the recipient. Send them emails on how to use their purchase
to the most advantage, and you can recommend products that will help further
with their problem.
· Create Case Studies from Feedback – After your product has had time to marinate
with buyers, contact them, and ask them how the product has helped them. Once
you collect a few stories, you can start doing video interviews, print
interviews, and other methods to create compelling case stories that will
encourage more people to buy the original product.
· Fill in The Gaps–Now is the time to start filling in the gaps of
content surrounding your products. You’ll need more posts to educate people
about their problems, more posts to highlight success stories, more information
about the product in general. In other words, keep the content going.
· Publicly Reward Affiliates – You probably had contests for your affiliates
during the launch. Now is the time to hand out the rewards. Do it publicly to
get more buzz about your products. You may attract more sales, and more
affiliates by doing this. People love to see people winning.
· Survey Fence Sitters – If you know that
you have fence sitters, for example, if you’ve collected information and got
people on your list who did not buy during the launch, send them a survey to
find out why. Just the act of offering the survey can increase sales. In
addition, it shows the audience you care.
·
Make an Offer They
Can’t Refuse
– Don’t break any launch promises, but consider making it easier for people to
say yes. If it’s an expensive product, offer a payment plan. If you take PayPal
credit, mention that in your sales process. Offer a free sneak peekat the content or offer them another way to
get value such as a group membership site.
Finally,
you can motivate affiliates to keep promoting by offering them incentives such
as more profit after the initial promotion or bonuses for more sales. For
example, you can change the affiliate cut from 50/60 to 70/30 in favor of the
affiliate post launch. You could also instead of messing with the percentage
offer various prizes and bonuses based on number
of sales after the initial launch.
Till next time!
To Your Success,
